lymetreatment I’m so excited to share that I won my appeal with my insurance company for iv antibiotics and that all of my medication ordered this week after my drs apt has officially been approved.
On Monday I will be starting the John Hopkins Zhang Persister Protocol, a Lyme cocktail of iv Ceftriaxone, iv Doxycycline, and iv Daptomycin detailed in the article below. I will also continue iv Clindamycin for my Babesiosis in combination with other various oral anti-malarial medications. I am ecstatic to have won the appeal as Daptomycin runs between 8-15k/ month and wouldn’t have been possible without insurance coverage.
For the past few months, I have been paying out of pocket for Ceftriaxone and have noticed significant improvements in neurological symptoms, brain fog, Bell’s palsy, and general cognitive function. I’m hopeful with the addition of these new meds we will be able to make even more progress as my quality of life is still significantly impacted by these awful late-stage tickborne infections. 9 hours of IV medications a day will absolutely be worth it if it helps get me closer to a remission.
I am so grateful for the support of my family, husband, chosen sister Abby, friends, and fellow Lyme warriors. Praying this new protocol will kick lyme’s ass!

lymetreatment .
💚 It’s been a month full of Lyme stats, green ribbons, reminders, and warnings. I share because I care and I care because I live it everyday. Writing about it all became a platform in which I could process the accompanying emotions that come along with the diagnosis.
.
If you would’ve asked me what I envisioned my life to look like 5 years ago I never would of fathomed this. Blogs were cool and all but not an aspiration I ever had. Heath and wellness was an interest of mine but not a passion. Lyme has a way of turning it all around. I write about it and I hope to bring awareness to it.
.
I look forward to the day when I walk into a store during Lyme disease awareness month and stare at an end cap decorated with cute green ribbons and Lyme paraphernalia. Where their is greater understanding amongst both physician and patient, better testing, and effective treatment. We will get there... one step at a time.
.
One year into treatment and continuing to persevere. I share my thoughts about it on my blog. Link in profile.

⁣
Well, here she is 😀⁣
⁣
Happy, healthy and being 3 weeks out of her treatment for Lyme she’s standing next to me on the shores in Grand Cayman, looking pretty whole. ⁣
⁣
Words can’t express how much of a change I’ve seen in my wife just in the last 3 weeks!⁣
⁣
Every day, I swear to you, she tells me something new and awesome. “Jason, my joints aren’t hurting, I haven’t had this much energy, clarity, sleep, in YEARS!” ⁣
⁣
It’s always something and it always positive. ⁣
⁣
👉🏼 Here’s what I want you to get out of this post: ⁣
𝙏𝘼𝙆𝙀 𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙆𝙎⁣
⁣
Yes, the treatment was $20,000 but it gave her back her life. Yes, there was a chance of the treatment not working - but not at least trying wasn’t an option. ⁣
⁣
The only reason you have money is to improve your quality of life - it ain’t about acquiring stuff or status 💯⁣
⁣
So grateful we have MONAT in our lives because we would have never been able to afford this treatment that, by the way, isn’t offered in the 🇺🇸. ⁣
⁣
I wonder how many suffer in silence because they can’t get access to this treatment? 🤔 ⁣
⁣
Maybe we should make others aware that if they are willing to take a chance on themselves that this could change their lives. ⁣
⁣
Told you, 2020 WILL BE our year. And I have a feeling my wife is itching to get back at it.⁣

lymetreatment It’s been an exhausting (but rewarding) week. I’ve been wanting to post about the @globallymealliance (GLA) breakfast I attended Thursday at @space_519 but I’ve been too exhausted and brain dead until now to do so, but here we finally go…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If there’s one organization to support regarding Lyme and tick-borne disease research and awareness, it’s GLA. GLA is the only Lyme disease 501(c)(3) focused on research with two Ph.D’s at the helm of its science program, supported by a Scientific Advisory Board, and with a grant review process modeled after the National Institute of Health (NIH).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Research for Lyme and tick-borne illnesses is almost entirely dependent upon the work of GLA and a small group of academics and biologists because funding is so scarce at the state and national level. For example: In 2018, the NIH awarded only $23 million in funding for research related to Lyme disease, yet gave nearly twice as much toward research on #westnilevirus. To put this into perspective: according to a 2016 CDC report, 2,149 Americans were reported to have been infected with West Nile virus, yet, in that same year, at least 300,000 Americans were estimated to have been infected with Lyme disease.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To date, GLA has raised more than $10 million in research grants to fund the development of accurate diagnostic tests, effective patient treatments and clinical studies. Ten million dollars may sound like a lot, but it barely begins to cover the costs needed to make a difference in understanding and treating this epidemic. And it truly is an epidemic - the CDC estimates there are 427,000 new cases of Lyme disease each year - this is twice as common as annual new cases of #breastcancer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
May is #lymediseaseawareness month and I encourage you to share this information with others, so that we can continue to garner awareness and funding for research to prevent others suffering from #tickbornediseases. In the meantime, I hope you consider donating to GLA (link in bio), because an amount of any kind will 100% make a difference in the fight against this #epidemic. (📸: @alizejireh)

lymetreatment 👋 BYE LYME. I combined DoTERRA’s strongest antiviral, antibacterial, immune boosting oils into one powerful roller. I apply the roller to my feet 🦶 before bed every night. I truly believe it takes a village to cure any illness and this is a safe and effective part of my daily treatment of chronic Lyme.
•
If you’re interested in having your own Bye Lyme roller let me know! I’d love to share the healing benefits of oils with you. 🥰 #healthyes

lymetreatment One week done of my water fast! 💦 This post is one day late as I’m not almost done with day 8!! Hoping the last 6 days fly by.
.
Thanks for those who are thinking of me and your prayers! I’m proud of myself for getting this far and I can see lots of things in my body getting better, especially my skin! This is definitely an experience and achievement I will look back on when things are difficult in life and think... you know what, I got this. I’ve been through tough things before.
.
For those interested in fasting, I hope you know that I am not a doctor and I can’t recommend extended water fasting to everyone. It’s definitely not something I’d just jump into, instead consider intermittent fasting first. Brennan and I have done extensive research on the subject and are also both practiced in fasting. We regularly intermittent fast as well as we’ve done 48hour fasts. Also I’ve done many liquid and juice fasts! So jumping in and doing 21 days when your body isn’t used to it is not smart.
.
I’ve tried many healing modalities for my condition and truly believe that doing an extended fast could help catapult my healing even further. I’m being medically supervised, taking and tracking all my vitals.
.
Just wanted to share that and if anyone is curious about fasting, @drjasonfung has an amazing book called The Complete Guide to Fasting, as well as @bengreenfieldfitness has a pdf called Fasting Decoded. Both are excellent resources for learning!
.
Wishing everyone love and positivity! Xoxo ♥️♥️♥️

lymetreatment Throwback Thursday to three months ago when I received a negative Lyme test for the Brown Horse. This was the best news we had heard in awhile after a LONG and frustrating period of time with a variety of symptoms, actually obtaining a diagnosis, treatment, waiting to retest following treatment and gradually getting back to real work. Please share your positive outcomes!

lymetreatment Good evening guys!! First off I found a loophole for the IG jail! I can like and follow people and everything on my laptop!🤩 Anyways one of the wonderful things about crossfit is that there is always a tribute WOD for every special person we lose when we should not have. There is now a workout dedicated to George Floyd. I am extremely saddened and angry over this situation and have been actively using my voice on my main account @abbylottridge
💚
I have not been working out but i will NEVER skip Murph or a WOD in honor of someone we lost recently no matter how much I am hurting or how weak I am.
🍃
I wanted to share on here to show how crossfit is infinitely scalable. I could not do the WOD normally so I used an empty bar and did 2 burpee step overs and 1 hang clean and jerk(so i didnt have to bend and hurt my joints more) then 4 burpees and 2 clean and jerks and so on until 9 mins was up. I went very slow and did what I could.
🧚🏻‍♀️
My joints feel like balloons, i was dizzy, weak, in pain, wobbly, etc and I now feel like shit but that means NOTHING compared to this issue. I will never stop raising awareness for the black lives matter movement.
🌲
This WOD hurt physically and mentally. I grieved, most importantly, for George Floyd and how black people are treated because of their skin color. It’s all I could think about. Lyme wise, I grieved my old self. When I was at my fittest I could have easily done the 135lbs and gone fast. To my old self, i miss you. But I am proud that I did something in honor of someone that lost their life when they should not have.
☀️
I want you to know that you can keep yourself moving. It hurts and it sucks but you can do it. All workouts can fit what you are able to do. If you want any help or guidance please feel free to message me.
⭐️
I want everyone to feel good and move even if it’s just a little bit. I also want everyone fighting for change. We can do this. We can speak up with and for POC.
✨
Floating in water helps a lot with my pain, so I decided to just fall in our pool (i recorded for laughs) but it was FREEZING so that didnt last long!

If you want any help or guidance please feel free to message me. ⭐️ I want everyone to feel good and move even if it’s just a little bit. I also want everyone fighting for change. We can do this. We can speak up with and for POC. ✨ Floating in water helps a lot with my pain, so I decided to just fall in our pool (i recorded for laughs) but it was FREEZING so that didnt last long!

It’s the last day of #lymediseaseawarenessmonth and I’d like to take this time to spread awareness about this horrific disease while sharing this photo for @sawyerproducts #lymediseasechallenge
As I prepare to hike the Appalachian Trail, it is not bears, people, dehydration or starvation that scares me most... it is having an unnoticed tick sucking my blood while transferring a chronic and debilitating disease that could last a lifetime.
Over 300,000 people in the US are diagnosed with Lyme disease every year... thank you @sawyerproducts for crafting safe products such as your Permethrin and Picaridin spray to help keep us safe and protected from this detrimental disease while we explore the great outdoors.

lymetreatment Hey guys! First off im sorry i cannot follow any of you back or like anything you post:( IG has it blocked for days and im not sure why, but it’s so annoying!! Ill follow you all back soon i hope❤️ Anyways here is another little trick that helps me(please ignore my depressed face lmao i was not feeling good at all😂😫).
💚
These are Controlled Articular Rotations aka CARs. The goal is to move your joints in slow and controlled circles to help with pain, stiffness, swelling, locking of the joints, etc..
🧚🏻‍♀️
It helps me the most with stiffness, swelling and the locking of my joints. For me it does a little bit for pain, but mainly helps with the other three. These are also PERFECT to do after dry needling(which I have a post on, check it out!).
☀️
I included a video of me doing them for my ankles and knees plus a screenshot of the name and website my favorite video is on. Crossfit Invictus does a really good job demonstrating how to do these for each joint from head to toe. It’s easy to follow along and not hard to understand.
🍃
Definitely give it a go a few times if you have issues with joint pain, stiffness, swelling or locking of your joints. It’s a good little trick to try and reduce any of those even a little bit!

Lyme disease often brings a lot of pain, uncertainty, worry, stress, isolation, the list goes on. It can also bring strength, resilience, determination, growth, passion, and community. .
.
For the #socksupforlyme campaign I wanted to represent the the beauty through the pain. A lyme journey is rarely linear, often disheartening, but it can show you a strength and passion for life you never knew you had, often because you have no other choice but to fight. But that’s where the wild beauty grows inside of us, where we become better versions of ourselves because of the pain and suffering we’ve endured. This one is for all the lymies, I hope you spent some time this Lyme Awareness Month acknowledging yourself, how far you have come, and the beauty that is sprouting through the darkness you’ve endured. 🖤 .

lymetreatment I will never understand how people can be filled with so much hate. It makes me sick to my stomach after seeing just a few seconds of George Floyd with a knee to his neck. I am saddened by the reaction of the rioters and looters who are stealing and burning businesses to the ground. It is sad to drive through my city seeing business that just opened up two days ago now covered in boards to protect what they have left. I pray this flicker of hope from the candle will be a beacon of light to unify and spark love. 🌟🖤🌟 #blackouttuesday #beaconofhope #weneedtodobetter

“I love and accept myself exactly as I am” ♥️
I have such a clear memory of saying this affirmation out loud for the first time 🗣
I was in one of my lowest lows — before this page existed, newly forced to take medical leave from my job and utterly terrified as my life felt like it was slipping through my fingers 🥺
I‘d been reading “you can heal your life” by louise hay and hand written her affirmations, but I wasn’t sure about pep-talking myself alone...
but rock bottom can lead you to try things you never would have imagined 🤷‍♀️
and so one day in the shower (to semi drown out my own feeling of awkwardness) I repeated this mantra aloud 🚿🔄
I felt uncomfortable and unnatural *but* I also felt overwhelming tenderness
I hadn’t realized how DESPERATE I was to hear those comforting words of radical acceptance, specifically coming *from* me, *to* me 💌
for the first time, I was able to internalize the idea that I might be able to be unconditionally loved, accepted and worthy EVEN when my life looked “like this” 💭
my heart hurts for the “me” who self-consciously + bravely stepped into uncharted territory of offering self-compassion to a body experiencing chronic debilitating pain ⛵️
but I am also so proud that in that place of deep brokenness, I was able to build a softer, kinder way of being 🧘‍♀️
one where I know, without a doubt, that I am on my own team 🤝
and that *no matter what* I‘ll always be “enough” just by showing up for this one wild and precious life I have the chance to live 🙏 via @zeaink .

lymetreatment Good morning guys!! Here are some helpful tips to help with Lyme prevention and what to do if you find a tick.
💚
Make sure you are checking your ENTIRE body after coming back inside. Ticks like to hide in dark warm areas. In the summer, you aren’t going to want to wear long clothing so try to wear light clothing so it is easier to see them. Also wear your hair up so they can’t grab on easily. Wear reliable and approved bug sprays to help keep them off you. Make sure your animals are also treated as they can easily bring ticks into the house and onto you.
🍃
If you do find a tick, make sure to remove as close to the head as possible or you might just rip off the body which wont do anything. Save the tick and go to a dr to have it checked out. If you don’t want to go to a dr right away monitor and look out for symptoms for the next month.
🧚🏻‍♀️
Just save these posts to look back at them to remind yourself of these things since we are in tick season! Although do not forget ticks can be around all year!! I have found one stuck on me in the middle of winter. But now is their prime time so just be careful and aware. Have a good day!! •

lymetreatment Chronic Lyme Disease creates an “alarmed” immune system that may be the cause of the majority of these symptoms. Others think that the spirochete, which is able to elude the immune system, is the problem.
Scientists are discovering that Glutathione pathways play a major role in all neurologic inflammation, especially in Lyme Disease. As a response to the initial infection, immune system white cells increase their glutathione levels tenfold to combat the ensuing inflammation.

Glutathione levels in chronic Lyme Disease patients tend to be very low. Neuro-inflammation can cause debilitating fatigue and the dreaded “brain fog,” making it difficult to think or focus clearly, even causing memory problems. Many patients find that taking a glutathione precursor (which helps to boost the body’s own glutathione antioxidant levels, support cellular detoxification, fight free radicals and disease. It helps them to function and reverse some of these symptoms effectively.

According to scientific studies, people who use a glutathione precursor, (which helps to boost glutathione antioxidant cell levels), may have an increase in overall energy, less muscle fatigue, and fewer neurological symptoms.

If you would like more information on our Glutathione precursor, which is backed by 20+’years of scientific testing, DM us. Our highest quality exceeds other brands in terms of purity, efficacy and bioavailability and is backed by a 60 day money back Guarantee.

Get your life back on the right track.

lymetreatment This is all very true, which is why you need to keep the people that stay in your life, no matter how long you isolate, as close as possible.
💚
Most people won’t understand and will leave your life. I have had plenty of those experiences and i’m sure many of you have. The ones who dont are so special. They understand why you isolate, they continue to check in on you, they keep inviting you out even though they know you’ll probably say no, they bring you things out of love, etc... Just good people. I know you know what I mean.
🍃
I tend to cancel plans, not answer messages/calls, leave early, space out, isolate for long periods, etc... I cant help it and cant/dont want to explain sometimes, but my good friends understand and give me my space while still checking in on me. The ones I have lost dont understand and just get annoyed. I know many of you have had the same experiences and it hurts but those are not good people. They aren’t worth keeping.
🧚🏻‍♀️
The good ones understand it’s not your fault and respect you but still make sure you know you’re loved. Keep them close. They matter. Try not to grieve too much about the people you lost over your illness. If they didn’t/weren’t willing to understand they weren’t worth keeping.
☀️
Im lucky to have a lot of good friends in my life. If you aren’t I am so sorry that you have come in contact with such ignorant people and I am sorry they can’t understand these things. You deserve so much better. My DM’s are always open and i love you. You will find those good people and when you do, never let them go.
🌲
I hope you all have a good night and hopefully get a little bit of sleep❤️

| Sunday 31st May 2020 - May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month. So in honour of this month coming to an end, I’ve chosen a picture of me wearing lime green. The battle with Lyme Disease that I have been through and am still battling, has been an eye opening journey. I have been through physical pain and mental trauma that I could have never imagined I would go through. And even though I am now free of Lyme Disease itself.. I am still to this day facing the symptoms that it caused me many months ago. Funny enough, whilst taking this picture, my joints were in pain. I am and always will be so thankful for the support and love that has been given to me throughout this process. Lyme Disease is one of the most undiagnosed diseases and you have to fight to be able to get the support and medical help that you need and unfortunately, I was one of those people who had to fight for my own health to stop myself from ending up in a wheelchair and many other long term complications. So in light of this issue I have posted a link in my bio where you can support, educate and donate to help other people with Lyme Disease. Please check it out 💚

lymetreatment We know it’s easy to get wrapped up in the negative things happening .. like pain, fatigue, the migraines .. but focus on being able to have the strength to eat, to breath, to walk to the couch .. ALL the small little victories matter too! 💚

lymetreatment I sees you has eggs and sausage and cheese. I’d also likes dees fings. Doin me a beg.
Moms note: Zeva has not been interested in food since we got her. Meals have been a struggle; we’ve been adding everything from broth to peanut butter to get her to eat. The vet said it was likely due to the Lyme treatment antibiotic she came home from the shelter on. We were worried when 2 days off of it nothing had improved but now 4-5 days later, she’s eaten 3 meals in a row with little coaxing and is now here begging for a bite. Begging I’ll gladly take (for now!). #zevapup #shelterdogsofinstagram #adoptdontshop #rescuedogsofinstagram #boxersofinstagram #pittiesofinstagram #lymetreatment #healing #dogsofinstagram #wiscodogs #dontbullymybreed

I used to be mostly bed bound 🛌

Just 4 years ago, I was SO sick. I had relapsed for the second time, I was hooked up to an IV most days of the week, and I could barely sit up long enough to eat. My fatigue was INSANE and my pain levels were rising. This was the least active I had ever been and I missed exercise a lot, but I had no idea how to manage it when I could barely walk to the kitchen
.
But like I said, my pain levels kept rising the more inactive I got. I finally realized that wasn’t a coincidence. Movement had helped me through tough treatments and illness periods in the past and I knew it could do the same this time. I started small and slow, just doing a couple minutes of stretching from my bed. Then I moved to the floor for new stretches and longer sessions. Soon my pain was decreasing and I knew the movement was helping. I worked up to walking to the end of my driveway and back, started doing short yoga sequences, then being able to do short walks in my neighborhood. I was feeling better, having less pain, and slowly was able to do more
.
Movement helped save my life! As part of a holistic approach to healing, I know that movement has been key in my health journey. I think a huge factor is that it gets lymph flowing for me. I struggle with detoxification and when my lymph is stagnant, I feel awful. Exercise helps me flush out toxins, get blood flowing, and provides me with a a positivity boost since mental health struggles are an all too common symptom/side effect of chronic illness
⬆️That’s a summary of my story and why I do what I do. I want to remind you that it did take me 5 years to build back up to doing regular, more intense exercise and longer sessions. This is a journey for your health, not a race! I truly believe movement is medicine and I’m here to show you that. Movement can be an invaluable part of your treatment 💜

lymetreatment dry needling!! The last two photos are of the needles in some areas of my body! We kind of section it out and it takes a long time. Anyways-
💚
Another thing I find extremely helpful. I started going to physical therapy almost 2 years ago and it was the first and only thing to this day that has ever given me a huge amount of pain relief everywhere.
🍃
We found a system that works for me which is basically dry needling me head to toe! Plus some neck releases and stretches to help with the headaches/pain/stiffness.
🧚🏻‍♀️
The needles go into your muscle and release the trigger points to help reduce pain and it has helped tremendously! I strongly encourage anyone with pain from their illness to go to a physical therapist or someone that does dry needling and ask about it!!
☀️
It does hurt shortly when the needle enters your muscle but once your muscles twitch when the trigger point is released and it starts reducing pain. At least that’s how it feels for me. After the treatment my pain is significantly reduced for a few days!! Look into it! I always walk out feeling better than when I walked in.

lymetreatment This is something that I truly believe needs to be talked about way more than it is.
💚
Anyone with a chronic illness should not feel ashamed for having negative feelings about what it is they have. You’re allowed to be sad, angry, negative, annoyed, etc. It wouldn’t make sense if you never experienced those feelings. Some do more than others but either way everyone with a chronic illness experiences these feelings at some point. Wether it’s often or not.
🍃
Your illness robs you of your old life. Wether you used to go out a lot and have a good social life, were an athlete, did any hobbies that you cannot do anymore, etc... Now, you have lost who you once were. For me I was an athlete. It was my whole life and basically defined who I was and now that I have officially lost all of it I barely recognize myself and I felt the moment my old self “died”.
🧚🏻‍♀️
I know a lot of you feel the same way since lots of you messaged me about your experience and I have loved talking to you guys!
☀️
You are allowed to grieve the loss of yourself and be angry about what you have lost. It’s okay to be angry at your body for putting you through so much suffering. It’s okay to be annoyed when people tell you it gets better because all you feel in the moment is anger that its been years of no relief and you have run out of patience. All of those negative feelings are allowed and no one should make you feel bad by asking why you’re so angry and just being rude.
🌲
My point is that it is so unrealistic to be hopeful, inspiring, positive, etc all the time when your body is destroying you 24/7 and your illness has taken away almost everything you love. Sometimes you just want to be angry and annoyed and not have people tell you it gets better and that is OKAY.
⭐️
never forget that you have become an even wiser, more mature, loving human being(even though i know you all already were) It’s just something about a chronic illness that makes you grow even more than you ever thought you could. But despite what you have learned since becoming sick, it’s okay to be angry and have no hope at times. But don’t let it make you completely give up❤️ I love you and my DM’s are always open

Lyme disease awareness month is coming to an end, and if I'm honest I've been struggling with what to write... (and not only because of the brain fog ) Lyme has taken so much from me but also given me so much at the same time.. it's hard to sum up in a caption.... but I'll give it a go. Much like this roller coaster of a recovery I've been on for the past few years... that's even taken me to another country..I've had no choice but to 'give it a go' with no guarantee of success. . 💚 Lyme disease is an infectious disease transmitted by infected ticks. Detected early enough and a full recovery is possible but if, like me and so many others diagnosis is delayed the consequences can be devastating... because lyme is globally misunderstood and underfunded, treatment options are scarce and usually not available on the NHS or covered by medical insurance. Making Lyme not only a physical and emotional battle but a financial one too. Awareness is so important because this disease is always on the rise (pandemic levels).. prevention is KEY. We need more reliable testing and education on the early signs.. early diagnosis/treatment massively increases chances of recovery! . 💚
For me there isn't a part of my body that hasn't been affected by Lyme...at my worst I was suffering from over 80 symptoms and spent the majority of my time in bed.
With treatment I have slowly made improvements, remission is possible and something I'm moving closer towards daily..but 8 years on I still wake up everyday not knowing how I'm going to feel. I have good days and bad days but one thing I have learnt is, is that you can live a happy life with chronic illness...because despite the pain, symptoms judgment and constant treatment, there is still so much to live for 💚 (Image description in comments) #LymeDontKillMyVibe #LymeDiseaseAwareness #LymeTreatment #LymeRecovery #ChronicLyme #ChronicIllnessWarrior #Lymewarrior #LymeAwarenessMonth #TmjDisorder #SpoonieLife #Lyme #InterstitialCystitis #RecoveryIsPossible #ChronicPainAwareness #ButYouDontLookSick #Fibro

lymetreatment We know we need to eliminate the inflammatory burden we put into our bodies, now let’s discuss the external. It’s just as important to an already over burdened body.

lymetreatment One of the best items I've ever purchased has been my Far Infrared Sauna from Amazon.

A crucial part of my health journey has involved reducing my toxic load/chemical burden through detoxification. Eating organic food, using safe household cleaning products, clean personal care products, rebounding exercises, dry brushing, detox baths and a far infrared sauna have been some of the methods I've employed.
Infrared light has significant biological effects that benefit your body by:

Activating anti-inflammatory processes
Supporting weight loss
Reducing blood pressure
Relieving unwanted pain
Releasing toxins
Boosting immune system function
Purifying skin
Promoting wound healing
Increasing blood flow
Supporting cell regeneration
Increases muscle and joint mobility
Improving athletic performance
Decreasing stress
Promoting relaxation
Fighting cognitive decline

Ever try a Far Infrared Sauna? if so what's your experience been like ?

lymetreatment Hey guys! I wanted to share another thing that helps me.
💚
I love being outside in the fresh air, especially by the ocean. So when I am feeling up for it I love taking one of my dogs to Avery Point to sit and watch the sunset over the water. It is gorgeous and so relaxing!
🍃
The sitting for a long time is painful but thats why I bring my theracane! If you havent, go look at my post on that. It’s such a helpful tool!
🧚🏻‍♀️
Being outside watching the sunset over the water with my little Maggie is so relaxing and calms me so much. It helps a lot when I am having a really angry day about my health. Im sure most of you know what I mean.
☀️
I encourage you to try and relax outside! Wether it’s at your house or at one of your favorite spots! Bring your dog, a book, something to color or anything at all that you want. Just let nature calm you❤️

the site is a deep dive into bee venom therapy as well as all things health and wellness related. within the blog and podcast, i plan to share the ins and outs of what it’s like to live a chronically ill lifestyle
⠀⠀
my path to lyme/bvt was beyond lonely. i researched everything on my own and never had anyone to relate to. i also spent my entire savings during the process. healing should be simple and affordable and i want to help make that happen. i hope to be a resource for any of you who are struggling. my dms are always open because together we can heal
⠀⠀
i am not holding anything back anymore. i plan to be raw, vulnerable and transparent. this is crazy scary for me but at the same time beyond exciting. i am so eager to buzz around with y’all and help you on your healing journey!

lymetreatment Every time I think I’ve turned a corner with this disease, the symptoms re-emerge and ravage my body. I honestly don’t think the antibiotics are doing anything good for me at this point, week 5, but I will finish the full 6 week course to check that box.
In the last week I’ve added in some new therapies that actually do seem to help. Two hours per day, five days per week in the hyperbaric oxygen tank aka the “glass coffin”. Perk of that is that I get to do something in the glass coffin that I never get to do: watch Netflix. I might finally have a clue when people reference their favorite shows.
The other adjunct treatment is an oxygen treatment that involves alternating high and low pressure oxygen while I’m moving on an elliptical machine to deeply penetrate all of my affected tissues. It’s called LIVE O2 (see photo above)and was developed here in Colorado. I feel markedly better every time I step off this machine and though, like hyperbaric, it’s not covered by insurance, but it’s significantly less expensive and much less time-consuming. Thanks to @kris10lohneiss for introducing this into my treatment plan.
This disease is a nightmare, I can’t overstate that. I truly had no idea and am so regretful that I didn’t seek immediate care last July when I returned home from Connecticut. Fortunately I have survived a nightmare of a different, but equally horrific kind in the recent past so I feel seasoned for another battle. Looking forward to the day I can look at this as yet another unwanted learning experience.

Every time I think I’ve turned a corner with this disease, the symptoms re-emerge and ravage my body. For many People with Lyme- the majority or any treatment is not covered by insurance. Especially those who do not meet the CDC requirements for a diagnosis with the inaccurate testing.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I have never gotten a CDC positive blood test so therefore I do not have Lyme according to the CDC & my insurance. I have great insurance & still have only had 5 things covered. ⁣⁣
1️⃣ Western Blot Blood tests⁣⁣
2️⃣ neurologist appointments⁣⁣
3️⃣ Hormone testing which wasn’t a complete panel. I had to explain what a complete panel was. ⁣⁣
4️⃣ autoimmune disease testing⁣⁣
5️⃣ MTHFR gene mutation testing which wasn’t accurate. I had already paid out of pocket for other testing that showed I have 2 MTHFR gene mutations but I wanted to compare results. The test done in a regular MD’s office stated that I do not have any MTHFR gene mutations which wasn’t true. ⁣⁣
6️⃣ Thyroid Panel: again I had to explain what levels were considered a complete panel because typically they only test 3. That is not a complete Thyroid panel. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I got a referral from my neurologist for Cranialsacral but my insurance said they don’t cover massage. So they would cover putting me on 5 different prescription medications for the daily migraines (in the past) but they won’t cover something that would help me get off those medications in the long run & wouldn’t cause long term liver damage. . . 🤦🏼‍♀️ #followthemoney #whosehandsareinwhosepockets⁣⁣
⁣⁣
In another post I will go over some of the things that Lyme patients do daily just to make it through the day or help with pain, all of which isn’t covered by insurance.⁣⁣

lymetreatment Today is World MS Day. ⁣
I think I thought about MS maybe 3x in my life before December 2017. ⁣
Now I think about it every. single. day. From morning until night… ⁣
⁣
When I can’t get out of my bed without help.⁣
⁣
When I sit for over 30 minutes and my legs decide to give out when I get up…and everyone stares at the way i walk. ⁣
⁣
When I have to use a cane at 28 years old because I can’t even hold myself up or my legs are too tired to do it on their own.⁣
⁣
When I am itching nonstop for hours. ⁣
⁣
When my vision goes blurry.⁣
When I can’t remember certain memories or words. Or even what I was saying one minute before. Or I can’t pronounce the words I want to say. ⁣
⁣
When my legs are spasming and I can’t do anything to stop them.⁣
⁣
When I literally had to stop doing pretty much everything I love because I’m not capable. ⁣
When I have such sharp pains in my legs that they twitch. ⁣
⁣
My entire body from my face down is still numb.⁣
⁣
When I try to even lift a water bottle with my left hand and I literally cannot do it. ⁣
⁣
When I get so fatigued it’s unexplainable (and no, it’s not being tired..there’s a huge difference) ⁣
⁣
When people ask me “why do you walk so funny? Did you work out too hard?”⁣
NO – I didn’t. and I shouldn’t have to explain why I walk this way. ⁣
⁣
When I go to my neurologist and have to have MRI’s regularly to check if the lesions in my brain and spine have spread. ⁣
⁣
And mostly, when I have to realize every single day that I have a incurable, debilitating disease.⁣

lymetreatment Good afternoon guys!! I hope everyone is feeling okay🥰
💚
Let’s talk treatment, more specifically, medicine!
🍃
These are the medicines I am currently on. I was on a lot more. Probably around double this amount, but I personally have a really hard time following protocols and staying on track. I’ll do really well and then fall off the wagon when it comes to taking medicine. I just hit this wall and cannot get through. So at my last appt my doctor wanted to try and decrease the amount of meds to make it easier and hopefully help me take them.
⭐️
I do not like the taste of any of my liquid supplements I think they are so gross!! But what I did discover is that putting them in yogurt completely hides the taste!! It’s amazing! Now I can just enjoy yogurt twice a day! I am gluten/dairy free so this is my favorite yogurt brand!
🧚🏻‍♀️
I always get awful side effects with medicine! One of these new ones actually made my vertigo so bad it lasted days and had me throwing up a ton. An old medicine I was on, dapsone, rose my methemoglobin levels and dropped my oxygen levels and turned me blue. That resulted in an ER visit! Plus so many more side effects.
☀️
Another thing I do not like about medicine is the herxing! So far I have only had bad herxes where I don’t get better after them.
🌲
So I want to hear what you guys think about all the medicine us lymies have to take or anyone else with a different chronic illness!! What are some of the worst side effects you experience? Have you had good or bad herxes? Have you felt any differences at all since you started taking them? I have done a few protocols, how about you guys? I would love for you to share any of your thoughts on this topic so we can all connect in the comments🥰

lymetreatment Treatment Day Thoughts 💚 With warmer temps upon us it can be tempting to not want to go to treatment every Saturday BUT it is working and one year to dedicate to hopefully many years ahead of a rejuvenated life is worth it!!! I was told around the 4-5 month mark I would see massive changes. May was my 5th month and WOW!!!!!!!! I haven’t had noise or light sensitivity for a month 😳, my fatigue and pain levels are minimal compared to where they have been for so many years 🤩! I do still have flares and need to respect them and slow down at times but it is more tolerable. I am more hopeful than ever that I will get some of my life back to combine with the person that is slaying her way out of this fight!
